Sources and how they are ranked
Every figure carries the document it came from and a tier describing how close that document sits to the manufacturer. The tier is what decides which value leads when sources disagree, and what a source is allowed to contribute at all.
Tier 1 — ManufacturerDatasheets, spec pages, manuals, press releases, official documentation.
Tier 2 — Authorised distributor or integratorCatalogues and product pages from companies selling the machine on the manufacturer’s behalf.
Tier 3 — Trade press and reviewsMay contribute a figure where no tier 1 or 2 value exists. Contradicting one marks the figure disputed rather than replacing it.
Tier 4 — CommunityForums, video, comments. Never writes a specification — only points at things worth reading.
Facts, not prose
A payload figure is not copyrightable and is aggregated freely from wherever it was published. The sentences around it belong to whoever wrote them: source documents are stored so a figure can be checked against what it came from, and never republished. Articles are linked, with a one-line summary, never reproduced.
